I met Moses about 6 months back, he came in quietly to the shop and introduced himself. In the months that followed, he’d be in every few weeks picking up a Metro board, we’d talk about skating for a few minutes and he’d roll out. About a month ago, he facebooked me a vid and said something along the lines of “i just finished this vid, if youre down to check it out” Needless to say the footage was insane, then i hit him back about meeting up to skate with some of the team guys and it turns out he’s from Hayward, which is about a 45 minute drive from us, all that time, he’d been taking the Bart train over and skating the 30 minutes from Bart to Metro to pick up his decks. then making that whole trip back home.
