Skatecamp & Lessons

Metro loves skateboarding! Our summer camps are designed to pass this torch along to the next generation. We realize that not every camper has the same amount of experience or innate ability, so we tailor our instruction to maximize individual strengths. Our approach is to build skills and confidence incrementally, upon a solid foundation. Safety is a major concern and campers will never be advised to attempt anything they’re not ready for. Helmets are required and pads are recommended.Staff:Our highly trained staff strives to make each camper a better skateboarder while maintaining a safe and enjoyable atmosphere. There is a maximum of five campers per instructor. This 5 to 1 ration insures that every camper receives highly personalized instruction. Select professional and amateur skateboarders are frequent visitors; conducting demos, fielding questions and providing instruction.Where:Metro’s Skate Camp meets every morning for lessons on the store’s private mini ramp. At three feet tall the mini is perfect for those first drop ins while maintaining a challenge for advanced moves. From there we travel to the skatepark of the day. This revolving skatepark practice makes for a far more interesting experience than some of the traditional day camps. Skaters are guaranteed new challenges as the obstacles are constantly changing. Itineraries will be included with each session’s confirmation packet.Session Dates/Prices:
